The 42-year-old man's "craving for the colonel" compelled him to allegedly drink drive to a KFC store in Doncaster, in Melbourne's northeast at 9pm on June 13, police said.
His wild driving caught the attention of staff and emergency services were called to the scene after his car was stuck.
Officers found the man's Honda sedan wedged on a curb in the drive through lane.
He returned a positive roadside test for alcohol but refused to take part in an evidentiary breath test, police said.
Investigators said checks revealed the man was also unlicensed.
"Unlike a certain 11 secret herbs and spices, drinking and driving are an original recipe for disaster," police said.
The Templestowe Lower man is expected to be charged on summons with traffic offences and his car was impounded for 30 days at the cost of $913.70.
Or, as Victoria Police said, the equivalent of approximately 115 zinger burgers.
